This wine was born in Chile, but its soul is definitely French. Owner of an unusual elegance, it has style and remains balanced throughout the time in the glass. at first, it releases its aromas with some shyness and, little by little, it shows itself for what it is: rich (that’s the best word to describe it!). Ripe raspberries, blueberries, prunes, blackberry jam, blackcurrant, licorice, flowers, minerals and dark chocolate. All these nuances blend in the most perfect harmony. In the mouth, it remains elegant, presents us with fine tannins and a very pleasant acidity.

It was in 2002, when the owner of Château Dassault in Saint-Emillion joined Guillermo Luksic, president of the group that controls the Chilean winery San Pedro, that Vinícola Altaïr was born. The vast experience of both with the production of wines resulted in two iconic examples: Altaïr and Sideral, acclaimed by critics already in its first vintage. The vineyards are located north of the Rapel Valley, in Cachapoal, and extend to the foothills of the Andes Mountains.
